“It takes courage to say yes to rest and play, in a culture where exhaustion is seen as a status symbol.”

– Brene Brown

My passion lies in Mindfulness & Compassion.

I am a qualified freelance mindfulness and compassion teacher whose vision is to create a world where mindfulness and compassion skills are accessible to everyone to nurture and sustain their mental wellbeing.  Teaching from my lived experience, I introduce a range of mindfulness practices and compassion tools to enable others to better manage stress and lead more balanced lives.

I discovered mindfulness 7 years ago when my dad moved in and I became his primary caregiver.  I was amazed how something so simple could help me manage my wellbeing; just by giving my complete attention to the present moment.

So, my Mindfulness journey started.  I went on to attend further courses, culminating in training and qualifying as a Mindfulness and Compassion teacher so that I could share my passion with others.

Combining mindfulness with compassion is incredibly powerful for me.  Using mindfulness, we gain an awareness that helps us to notice and listen to how we are feeling and behaving.  Compassion gives us the courage to respond to that awareness with kindness for ourselves and others and change unhelpful habits.

I teach from my lived experience which includes senior management, business, motherhood, caregiving, neurodiversity and the menopause.

As a professional Mindfulness and Compassion teacher, I am required to have professional indemnity insurance and supervision.  My supervision is provided under contract by MindfulnessUK.

My original background is in marketing having worked in the corporate world, both public and private sectors, for over 30 years.
